As a condition to participating in the Magic Dragon Reptile Experience, the signatory below executes and delivers this release and waiver. I fully understand that by signing this agreement, I waive, release, and relinquish, any and all right to seek the recovery of damages for any personal injury, property damage, other cause of action, known or unknown, which may arise from this party and the activities associated therewith.
I acknowledge that interactions with reptiles and amphibians, including handling the reptiles/amphibians involve inherent risks that may cause serious injury, illness, and possibly death to participants, including but not limited to:
Animal bites or scratches
Minor cuts, abrasions, or bruises
Allergic reactions
Emotional distress or fear responses
Exposure to bacteria, including but not limited to Salmonella
Unpredictable animal behavior
I understand that reptiles may carry bacteria such as Salmonella. Proper hygiene after handling is required.
I affirm that I (or my child) do not have any known medical condition that would make participation unsafe, or I have disclosed such conditions.
I hereby waive, release, relinquish any and all claims, which I may have against Magic Dragon Reptiles, and/or its staff and release Magic Dragon Reptiles from all liability for injury, death, property damage, or any other loss sustained by me or my child (or any child accompanying me while at the party) as a result of my/their participation in the Event, due to any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, negligence on the part of Magic Dragon Reptiles or its staff members. I further release Magic Dragon Reptiles from any and all claims seeking to recover legal fees and/or costs of any type or nature.
I understand, acknowledge and agree this release applies whether Magic Dragon Reptiles is at fault or not and it releases not only the property owners but staff of Magic Dragon Reptiles. I understand and acknowledge that Magic Dragon Reptiles, in securing execution of this release and waiver, is relying upon my actions herewith as free and voluntary actions and my signature is not subject to any promise or inducement made to me by anyone.
I understand that me or my child (or any child accompanying me while at the party) may be barred from handling any of the reptiles or amphibians if handling rules are not followed and a reptile/amphibian or other participant attending is at risk due to mine or my child’s (or any child accompanying me while at the party) behavior. I understand the rules for handling and how my child (or any child accompanying me while at the party) or I behave with the reptiles/amphibians as listed below.
Follow all instructions given by staff
Handle animals only when invited and supervised
Use calm, gentle movements
Not squeeze, grab, restrain, poke, or startle animals
Keep animals away from faces
Avoid running, yelling, or sudden movements near animals
Immediately report any injury to staff
Wash or sanitize hands after animal contact
Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate removal from participation without refund.
If signing on behalf of a minor, I certify that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian and have full authority to sign this agreement.
